I think what Hartley is doing is a good thing to be honest ... I know fans want to see Ramo play but by giving Joey starts based on his performance shows that Hartley will reward strong play no matter who you are and you have to earn your ice time

The Thornton comment was a throwaway comment between team mates. Whoever decided to turn that into a news story is an idiot. Way to make sure you never get a genuine comment from a player for the rest of your sports reporting career.

Completely agree with you on the Thornton/Hertl stuff. Like a song that sky rockets to the top of the charts this whole thing (starting with Hertls goals) is being overplayed and every inch of mileage is being squeezed from this (lack of) story. Flashy goal who cares. Locker room smack who cares. Can we all (media) move on with something else. Something better.

Flames win 4-2

The Dressing Room is a sanctuary and I guarantee that was not the worst thing said in that room that day, and it was totally in jest. Botchford is an idiot.

If Thornton was serious, do you think league will immediately suspend him as soon as he scores 3 goals in a game?

For the game tonight, I predict that the Flames will score at least 1 goal on Cory Schneider.

6-2 Flames win.

I'm really diggin the Bouma move with Backlund and Hudler.
Some grit with the skill may work out well.
Bouma needs to get a lil nasty. Get under the skin.
Become that guy everyone hates to play against.

Is anyone really offended by what Joe said? 20 reporters in that room, one reported it and he will be ostracized for a while. Botchford is really defending his position, almost too much.

This should be Joe's song when he scores

I think it can only help Ramo make the transition, throwing him in there right away would be very hard for him and for the team. It will also let him know the #1 job isn't his (as the salaries might indicate), and should motivate him to play really well when he does get his shot.

I think the original plan was to get Ramo in there a little more often. But the bottom line is the team is playing great in front of Joey Mac so why mess up a good thing? I know his numbers aren't awesome but he is playing well!

It kind of sucks because in my opinion you can't compare guys like Gretzky to Crosby etc.

Hockey has changed so much compared to all other pro sports.

haha not at our expense I haven't seen any games yet or any highlights but from the stats I'v seen Monahan has been impressive, Baertchi as well. Has B.B quieted down about Sven now?
